Resin Care
Resin jewellery is durable, but to ensure it lasts a lifetime, please follow this advice. This will keep your jewellery looking great and help you avoid repair costs.
● Scrapes
Avoid bumping or scratching your piece, and don’t use tools or do manual work while wearing it.
● Water
Never submerge your jewellery in water; resin is not waterproof, just water-resistant. Remove your jewellery before showers, swimming, or washing up.
● Heat
Extreme temperature changes can cause your piece to expand and contract, separating its elements.
● Sunlight
Store your jewellery away from direct sunlight to prevent discolouration and softening of the resin.
● Smoking
Regular smoke exposure can cause yellowing, but some customers have worn their pieces for years without issues.
● Chemicals
Keep your jewellery away from harsh chemicals and cleaning products like sanitizer, perfume, hairspray, and nail polish remover.
● Yellowing
Yellowing usually results from resin care issues, not the type of resin.
● Dullness & Scratches
For dull or scratched pieces, we can add a new top coat or remove it if necessary. Charm beads or orbs may need complete replacement since the hardware is fixed.
